World Studies

We will be having our test on Ancient Egypt on the computer. I will use Engrade tomorrow to send each of the students a link to take the test.

This week's class will focus on Ancient Hebrew and Judaism.

Egypt travel brochures are due Friday..

Week of August 24-August 28, working on plans for the that tonight:

August 24;  We will discuss classroom rules and procedures:

1) Be in assigned seat with the text off the bookshelf. Have your paper and writing instrument ready.
2) No cell phones.  Mine will be turned off and should yours.
3/) Respect for yourself and others. No talking when its not your turn.
4) No cheating.  If your struggling talk to me and we will work on this.
5) Be positive

We will be discussing the vocabulary necessary to understand a hunter gather society.

2014-2015 Year long classes have been an adventure. Thank goodness today is the last day.

My 2014 class on World Studies has about 14 students and it is a great group to work with everyday. I enjoy teaching.

Summer time working on Ancestry.com.  The summer time is spent working on genealogy. New interest ancestry DNA.  Learning a lot about ancient peoples and civilization.

Week of Jan 28- Feb 2, 2013

Honors World Studies will focus on Hindusim and Buddhism and how those two religions affected the people in their society.  We will also focus on Modern India and China.  It should be an interesting week.

Week 2 focus will be Egyptians through the Old, Middle, and New Kingdom.
Tech Steps on Wednesday and Thursday.

Exam on Egyptians will be Friday, January 18, 2013.
